Zeria Pharmaceutical to Exclusively Distribute Eli Lilly's Acinon Products in Japan
Tokyo, Sept 28, 2004 (JCN) - Zeria Pharmaceutical and Eli Lilly announced on September 27 that the two companies have reached an agreement regarding the licensing of rights to the Acinon (nizatidine) series in Japan.
Under the terms of the agreement, Eli Lilly will grant to Zeria all rights (including the trademark right) to the Acinon series. Consequently, Zeria will become the sole distributor of Acinon products in Japan.
An H2 blocker developed by Eli Lilly, Nizatidine has been distributed in over 80 countries under the trade name Axid since 1988.
