| AIST, Eight Private Firms to Test Mid-Large Size DME Trucks on Public Roads |
|
|
|
Tokyo, Aug 13, 2004 (JCN) - The National Institute of Advanced Science and Technology (AIST) and eight private companies have applied for a permit to test mid- and large-size trucks featuring DME fuel, a type of eco-friendly energy that does not generate SOx and reduces NOx.
Slated to start in the end of September, the test will see the durability and practicability of DME trucks when they run a long distance on public roads.
The private collaborators are CO-OP EV, Mitsubishi Gas Chemical, Itochu, Itochu Enex, JFE Holdings, Fukuyama Transporting, Ono Sokki, and Iwatani International.
