Canon Launches Digital High-resolution Mydriatic Fundus Camera

Tokyo, July 5, 2004 (JCN) - Canon has announced the launch of the "Canon CF-60DSi," its latest digital mydriatic fundus camera for use by medical institutions.

Combining the superior optical performance of the company's wide shot camera "CF-60UVi" and its leading digital camera "EOS-1Ds," the new product enables the high-resolution imaging of an eye fundus (effective sensor resolution of 11.1 million pixels). It offers three shooting modes; color, fluorescent and ICG.

The product sells for 4.5 million yen. Canon plans to sell 300 units annually.
