Toyota to Make New Small Engines in Northern Wales
Tokyo, Mar 12, 2008 (Jiji Press) - Toyota Motor Europe, a unit of Toyota Motor Corp. <7203>, has announced that it will invest about 115 million euros to produce new small engines at its factory in northern Wales.
The plant will manufacture four-cylinder, 1,300-c.c. engines from late 2009.
The move is part of Toyota Europe's efforts to supply engines with low carbon dioxide emissions and superior fuel economy to Europe to meet strict environmental regulations there.
